Sunday afternoon we received a text message from Ronin that we had a new file and he was on his way back to L.A. We were told to stand by since we would be starting on the file as soon as he got back.
Sunday evening Ronin, Chopper, Rookie and I all met at my house. We geared up jumped in the 'Burbie and headed out to Palmdale/Lancaster area to start smoking this guy out. We were filled in on the details on the way out the to rendezvous with Mad Dog and Diesel. Charges: 245 (A) (1) P.C., otherwise known as assault with a deadly weapon; not a firearm. To me this meant that this guy was gonna be "fun" to deal with. We
went to several different houses that night: the defendant's girlfriend, his baby mama (who's dad is a cop), his friends house etc. We covered every possible place he could have been that night. When we arrived at the last house we learned we missed him by about 30 minutes. Not bad for our first real night looking for this guy. Next day was MLK Day, so businesses were closed.
Bright and early Monday morning we headed out to see his current Sugar Mama in Seal Beach. Chopper and I were covering the back to make sure he wasn't going to run if he was there. Ronin made entry into the house with Redneck and Rookie, a few minutes later I was called into the apartment as well. I walked in to find
some 10 year old kid hyperventilating like we were ransacking his house. I looked around and saw Ronin talking to the kid's mom. We searched the house to ensure he wasn't there. Sanchez' sugar mama called him to try and talk some sense into him but he wasn't having it. We wrapped up and returned to our vehicles. Just as we got into the truck Ronin's phone rang. Ever hear the saying "Shake a tree, find a monkey?" (I heard that from Ronin.) it was Lil Rickie calling to find out how to fix his situation. ---redacted for OpSec purposes---
Tuesday afternoon Redneck met with Sanchez, he had no idea we were waiting for him. Once we confirmed his identity, he was given a matching pair of bracelets and a complimentary ride down to IRC ( Mens Central Jail) in my truck. Another notch on the belt. POW!!!!!
